Excerpt of projects/assignments BERDIZ has been involved in:
- Project management for structural verifications related to the high pressure turbine replacement at F3 including structural verification of the steam pipe turbine systems.
- Advanced class 1 pipe and component stress analysis in project SWEEP (F3) including detailed thermal fatigue analysis according to the ASME code. Analysis were performed in Pipestress, Adina and Matlab.
- Pipestress work in a number of different projects including the new forward pumping system in F1/F2, component replacement projects and structural verification of the turbine feed water system and main steam system at F1/F2.
- Evaluation of components including vessels, flanges and valves according to the ASME and/or EN codes. Verification of lifting devices according to EN performed with the Adina FE-code.

Structural Analysis Project PLEX (O2)
Project background: In 2004 project PLEX (Plant Life EXtension)was established as a modernization project for O2 at Oskarshamn. The main goals are to extend plant life by 20 years, increase plant security, secure plant availability and increase power output by 180 MW. Engineers from BERDIZ have primarily worked with support and anchor qualifications for piping systems and the development of anchor methodology based on CEN/TS standards. Supports have been modeled and analyzed in ANSYS APDL with complementary analytical calculations.

Analysis of Particle Filtration Facility on SKB
A structural analysis and verification of piping- and – support system has been performed based on anticipated loads. Pipe system was modeled and analyzed in Pipestress (PePs) along with analytical calculations for supports and bolts.
The project involved several design changes to be able to deal with thermal expansion of the system.

LTO-TLAA (O1, O2, O3)
Development of a completely updated Thermal- and Pressure transient documentation on all process systems and internals on O1. The work included a total update on the time dependent thermal and pressure loads, and in the case of the internals development from scratch using the O2 and O3 documentation as a basis for the work. The work included several hundred updated and new time dependent transients.

Year: 2010-2014
PLEX-O2
Review of Structural verification, Strength of material analyses and the KFM:s of the up-rate program of unit 2 at OKG.

Year: 2004-2010
PULS-O3
Coordinator and Reviewer of all Structural verification, Strength of material analyses and all Mechanical loadings of the up-rate program of unit 3 at OKG. The project includes a large different subjects among others non-linear dynamic analyses, global plant analyses, thermal transients, thermo-hydraulic pipe analyses, Pipestress analyses, pipe supports, new pipe support standard, civil engineering, etc.
